Before joining Cellai Law Offices, P.C., Lauren Jacoby, Esq. worked with and assisted sole practitioners focusing in the areas of Insurance Defense and Construction Law. As part of her responsibilities for the sole practitioner attorneys, she was responsible for administering insurance defense and construction matters, including litigation, document drafting and contract negotiation.
Since joining Cellai Law Offices, P.C. in 2004, Lauren Jacoby, Esq. has assisted individual creditors and creditor corporations in the areas of Bankruptcy Law and Commercial Disputes. Bankruptcy Court litigation on behalf of secured creditors, unsecured creditors and non dischargeability claims have been a main stay of Lauren Jacoby, Esq.'s Bankruptcy Court litigation.
Lauren Jacoby also devotes a significant part of her practice to has assisted individuals and corporations in a variety of legal matters and issues in the corporate law, probate practice and construction law. Attorney Jacoby made notoriety in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly when she was instrumental in helping a divorced mother of 4 recover child support arrears in a case where the order was over 30 years old. Lauren Jacoby has help numerous other individuals collect their child support obligations by enforcing out of state orders. Lauren Jacoby, Esq. has assisted individuals set up guardianships for the mentally disabled, Administrated Estates for intestate relatives who have passed and litigated equity issues. Before attending law school, Ms. Jacoby interned with a New Jersey State Assemblyman focusing on constituent problems and researching various measures for the New Jersey State Assembly. Lauren Jacoby, Esq. obtained invaluable experience and insight into how laws are drafted, instituted and interpreted.
While at New England , Ms. Jacoby was a Staff Associate on the Journal of Civil and Criminal Confinement. She was also a Participant in the Mock Trial Competition and Member of the International Law Society. Ms. Jacoby received her B.A. in Political Science from Montclair State University where she was a member of the University's Board of Trustees as the Student Representative. She has also studied at the University of Siena, in Siena Italy. |
