Areas of Practice and Background

Attorney Brian Hogencamp has been practicing law for 20 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and his Law degree From New York Law School. The first 10 years of Attorney Hogancamp’s career was spent litigating in the State and Federal Courts of New York, where he quickly became noted for his ability to successfully navigate complex legal issues, and for his ability to prevail in difficult cases. In addition to New York, Brian is licensed and has litigated in the States of Connecticut, and Massachusetts. He is also licensed and has obtained successful verdicts for his clients in the Federal District, and Federal Bankruptcy Courts in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Attorney Hogencamp is licensed and has also obtained victories for hid Clients in the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, and as a result, is also admitted to argue cases in the United States Supreme Court,

Brian’s practice areas include complex commercial and civil contract litigation, State and Federal Class Action litigation, State and Federal creditor/lending regulation litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Attorney Hogencamp has successfully argued cases of first impression at the Federal District Court level in Massachusetts, which effectively changed the requirements for the manner in which collection cases were, and continue to be, handled by creditors. He has obtained multi-million-dollar awards for auto manufacturing Clients in the Federal Courts and has successfully defended numerous six-figure class action cases for National Banks and Financing Clients.

Attorney Hogencamp’ also handles administrative claims and matters for Clients brought by State and Federal Regulatory Agencies, such as the Consumer Finance Protection bureau and the Attorney General’s Office. His broad knowledge and extensive experience have made him a regular consultant for various volunteer lawyers projects and to act as a Judge for moot court trial and negotiation competitions held by local Law Schools.

Brian lives in the greater Boston area with his wife and two children. He continues to play Ice hockey and is a level 4 USA Hockey Coach and official. He currently Coaches both Boys’ Varsity high School and Club Hockey. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, sport fishing, and travelling with his family.
